I am writing because I have had some very difficult experiences with Swagbucks, and an absolute lack of help from their support team. I had a Swagbucks account, and needed to change my email address on the account. I had no less than 8 support tickets to customer service regarding this, until finally someone took care of it for me. Of those 8, I had 1 or 2 responses back from support. This spanned several months, and my account was inactive during this time, so I opened a second account. Upon customer service fixing the problem for me, I promptly deactivated the first account (only 1 account allowed per household) and used only the second account. Then, several months later, after I had earned enough Swagbucks to redeem for a gift card, I did so, and 2 days later could not log in, as my account had been deactivated for having multiple accounts. I explained the entire situation to the customer support person, who obviously read none of it, because I received a canned response and was told that this ended my support ticket, and I would receive no further replies on the issue. Therefore, I broke no rules, followed all of Swagbucks policies, and still, as soon as I tried to redeem for my earned reward, they deactivated my account. This seems all too convenient for the company, and I wonder how many people this happens to. I cannot get any response from Swagbucks customer service, and there is no phone number to contact, so customers are at the mercy of people in customer support answering their emails, and if the support person doesn't feel like it, well they just don't, and there is no recourse for the customer. I would advise others to stay well away, as you may end up wasting your time and still losing all your Swagbucks to a company that really does not care about the customer. UPDATED 5/17: Swagbucks has finally resolved this issue. I received an apology email from one of their managers, who said it was a mistake. I am changing my rating to 3 stars (because it took so long!), and am grateful that they chose to remedy the situation. Thanks Swagbucks!
