EHS Restoration Nightmare
|
I had to have water damage in a closet repaired and EHS billed the insurance company to replace the entire closet floor but only patched it. I provided the flooring for the repair and they didn't measure the boards correctly and there were gaps between the flooring and the walls and the connecting boards. They actually cut into every board in the box in the attempt to do the repair thus destroying every board. When they sent me the invoice they were charging me for the flooring despite the fact that I had provided the flooring. It has taken them 2 months to complete this job. A job that should have been completed in a week. After several phone calls and emails asking them to take the flooring charge off the bill, the owner called me and told me that I was expected to pay for the second repair plus the labor. He said, "Mistakes happen in construction." What company charges the consumer for materials the consumer has provided and then charges them for the repair of the job that they botched in the first place? This has still not been resolved. I have had to contact my insurance company to see if this would be considered fraud. I would not recommend using this company.
